About Me

Confident woman smiling with arms crossed, wearing a red blouse.

Jennifer Wymbs , LCSW

Founder of Tapestry Family Strategies

Strong families don't just happen; they are woven together with intention, faith, healing, and love.

I'm Jennifer Wymbs, LCSW, and I believe every family has the potential to experience restoration, no matter how complicated their story may be.

For more than three decades, I have walked alongside children, parents, couples, caregivers, and individuals through some of life's most challenging moments. My career has allowed me to serve in mental health, developmental disabilities, education, community outreach, correctional mental health, and clinical social work. Each experience has reinforced one truth:

When the family becomes stronger, everything else begins to change.

My passion for family restoration isn't rooted solely in my professional experience.

It is deeply personal.

As someone who lived with unresolved pain, misshapen generational patterns, miscommunication, and emotional wounds that influenced my relationships, I want to help you understand the patterns beneath it all. Together, we identify the threads woven through generations, strengthen what is healthy, repair what has been damaged, and intentionally create a new legacy for ourselves and those we love.

Through my own marriage of more than three decades, raising four children, serving in ministry, and helping many families professionally, I've witnessed that healing rarely happens by accident. It happens intentionally: one conversation, one decision, one relationship, and one act of grace at a time.

That belief became the foundation for

Tapestry Family Strategies.

Rather than simply treating problems as they appear,  I help families identify their strengths, reframe unhelpful patterns of thinking, and develop practical, solution-focused strategies that strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create lasting change.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Family Strategist, I blend evidence-based clinical practices with timeless biblical principles to help families build healthier relationships, stronger communication, emotional resilience, and lasting hope.

My work is grounded in the belief that faith and sound clinical practice can work together to support meaningful transformation.

Today, I serve families through counseling, coaching, education, speaking, writing, consulting, and leadership development. Whether I'm working with parents navigating difficult seasons, couples seeking deeper connection, churches supporting families, schools strengthening student well-being, or organizations investing in healthy communities, my purpose remains the same:

To help people move from surviving to flourishing by strengthening the family from the inside out.

My Philosophy

I believe...

  • Healing is possible.
  • Healthy families are built, not found.
  • Strong communication changes generations.
  • Children thrive when the adults around them are healthy.
  • Grace and accountability belong together.
  • Faith provides hope, and practical strategies create lasting change.
  • Every family can begin a new story.

When We Work Together

You can expect a space where you'll be heard without judgment, challenged with compassion, equipped with practical tools, and encouraged to grow. My goal isn't simply to help you solve today's problems; it's to help you build the kind of family legacy that lasts for generations.

Because restoration isn't about becoming a perfect family.

It's about becoming a healthier one.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you begin that journey.
